APA or AIPAC? When Psychology Becomes a Psyop

It’s official: the American Psychological Association (APA) has fully crossed over into ideological irrelevance. In their latest press release—if you can even call this PR pablum a serious publication—they’ve published a piece titled Hate, Bias, and Intolerance: Antisemitism, a weakly constructed document that traffics more in AIPAC-approved talking points than psychological insight.

Here’s the message: Genocide is bad, but antisemitism is worse. That’s not an ethical stance. That’s ideological laundering.

And it’s not just cowardly—it’s complicit.

The APA frames antisemitism as the world’s singular moral evil, while sidestepping the active trauma of Palestinian death camps, ICE detention slavery, and the psychological warfare being waged on American cities by a collapsing neoliberal order. Not one word about how Zionism as a state ideology produces multigenerational trauma—not just for Palestinians, but for the global psyche.

Meanwhile, every APA press release reads like a BuzzFeed listicle from the Biden administration’s HR department:

  • “Coolness is cross-cultural”

  • “Trust boosts well-being”

  • “Killer whales share fish with humans”

No mention of forced labor lawsuits from detainees under ICE contracts. No mention of the psychological fallout of Gaza’s annihilation. No real-time policy intervention. Just sterilized press copy and performative concern—all designed to soothe upper-middle-class white liberals while they prescribe SSRIs and plan ski trips.

Let’s be clear: the APA is no longer a guild. It’s a lobbying firm with a therapeutic face.

⚖️ Psychology Has Been Hijacked by Zionism

The APA’s language mirrors that of the AAP (American Academy of Pediatrics) and other U.S. institutions now functioning as mouthpieces for settler-colonial ideology. This antisemitism report, cloaked in academic neutrality, is little more than a covert branding document for the global Zionist narrative—a narrative that insists any critique of Israeli apartheid is hate speech, while daily massacres in Rafah are filed under “foreign policy.”

Their ethical code? Hollow. Their leadership? Bought. Their focus? Monetizing distress, not healing it.

💥 Why I Left the APA—and You Should Too

You don’t leave a profession you love unless it leaves you first. I joined this field to help people metabolize oppression. But the APA doesn’t support that. The APA teaches silence. The APA protects institutions, not individuals. The APA promotes compliance disguised as clinical neutrality. It trains you to gaslight yourself so you can be a good employee for broken systems like Rose City Center and VHC.

They don’t treat suffering. They traffic in it.

This is why elevate.epo was born.

To break the spell. To call out the scam. To start again—this time on our terms.

This isn’t advocacy. This is accountability. And if you’re still clinging to that CEs-for-ethics approval illusion, consider this your wake-up call.
