Daddy Issues Week: The Man Who Built Better
This week is Daddy Issues Week, but today isn’t about pain. It’s about power.
Yesterday, ShoutoutLA published a feature on my story—how elevate.epo was born not from crisis, but from clarity. And more importantly, how I chose to alchemize everything I was handed as a son, a partner, and a father into something better. That article isn’t just a brand play. It’s a receipt. Proof of what happens when a man stares down generational dysfunction, burns the blueprint, and builds a new operating system from scratch.
I didn’t get here through luck. I got here by choice. By watching everything that broke me and deciding that I wouldn’t pass it down. I learned that pain isn’t inherited. It’s transferred. Unless you intercept it. Unless you stand in the middle and say: it ends with me.
This is the legacy I’m leaving my kids. Not one of perfection. Not one of image. But of ownership. Of clarity. Of real structural transformation.
My kids won’t need to spend a decade decoding why they flinch when someone raises their voice. They won’t internalize the lie that male presence means silence or threat. They will know how to build frameworks. Set boundaries. Name their values. And move with power.
Because their dad didn’t just talk about healing. He built the system.
To every man who sees the dysfunction and chooses to raise the standard—you’re not just healing. You’re calibrating.
